Richard Louis James is a resident actor/director with Center Rep in Walnut Creek, California. He is also a resident artist with the Eugene O'Neill Foundation at Tao House, a member of Fantasy Forum Actors Ensemble, a company member of Rising Phoenix Repertory in New York, and on the teaching staff of Young Rep Summer Training Program, also in Walnut Creek.

Mr. James has appeared with Town Hall Theater, San Francisco, Neighborhood Theater, Shotgun Players, Contra Costa Musical Theater, American Citizens Theater, and Lareen Fender's Once Upon A Christmas. He recently appeared in the West Coast Premier of Edward Albee's The Play About The Baby, and most recently in Oedipus Rex, both productions with Shotgun Players.

He is the recipient of two Shellie awards for acting and the first annual Artist Merit Award in 2003 for his contributions to the Eugene O'Neill Foundation.
