The concert featured the intriguing and lively music of Hungary, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Romania and Poland. Included was a musical tribute to the late Hungarian composer Frigyes Hidas. CCWS performed the World Premiere of his Hungarian Rhapsody, a commissioned work based on Hungarian folk songs and the U.S. Premiere of his Third Concerto for Horn, with soloist Susan Vollmer.
