Contra Costa Wind Symphony is made up of over forty volunteer musicians from diverse backgrounds, all brought together by a shared passion for music. We rehearse every week on Wednesday from 7:30p-9:30p, and present four indoor concerts annually.

Most sections are full, but we keep the list for consideration for future membership and substitutions. If you are interested in becoming a member, please attend a rehearsal as a guest so we can meet you!

Member Policies

CCWS’ season runs from early September to early June, and includes 4 indoor season concerts.

All members are asked if they can donate $350 per season to the band. This donation is tax-deductible. Members joining after January 1 can donate half the amount.

Members of the band are expected to make reasonable efforts to attend as many rehearsals as possible. When a player knows they will not be able to attend a rehearsal, they should notify their section leader. Multiple unexcused absences may result in membership termination.
